Be a Filmmaker Star Wars Edition

Create your own Motion Picture in this 5-day workshop!

Build your child’s confidence as he or she takes on multiple roles of acting, directing, filming and editing, to produce an original film!

On Day 1, students will brainstorm the storyline and work with a storyboard. Drama Exercises revolving around a filming element will be conducted to prep for the day of filming.

On Day 2, students will get into character and start filming the first few scenes of their show. Students will try their hand at filming, directing and acting. This will help build their confidence both behind the scenes and before a camera.

On Day 3, filming continues. Referring to the storyboard, students will put together their masterpiece. Students will be split into different teams to start editing their very own motion picture. They will learn the tools of video editing and enforce their roles as filmmakers, directors and actors during this process.

On Day 4, students will work in their teams and go full swing into video editing. Students will learn how to apply special effects to enhance and spruce up their film. While arranging the scenes in order, they will also learn the importance of sequence in a story, an important element of a good story.

On Day 5, students will add the final touches to their videos. By this time, our young filmmakers would have had the professional experience of conceptualizing a short film from storyboard to screen. They will take home a copy of their film. The workshop will conclude with a screening for the students, by the students!
