Terms of Service

The following document outlines the terms and conditions of enrolling as a student of LoveKids Speech and Drama Pte Ltd, LK Academy and LK Caviar Pte Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as LoveKids and LK Academy). You are required to read, understand, and agree to these terms and conditions before enrolling in any programme provided by LoveKids. LoveKids also has the right to amend or change these terms and conditions as required from time to time.

 

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions for programmes set out the agreement between you, the customer and LoveKids in relation to the enrolment as a student in our programmes.

  1. Introduction
    1. These terms and conditions are laid out so as to have an understanding of what is required of students and parents who use the services provided by LoveKids and LK Academy.
    2. Upon enrolling into a programme provided by LoveKids and LK Academy, you hereby agree to the terms and conditions as set out below.
  2. Enrolment Terms
    1. Information provided to LoveKids and LK Academy during the enrolment process must be accurate, true and correct.
    2. LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to reject the enrolment if it is found subsequently that the information provided was incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate.
    3. All information must be provided in the enrolment form.
    4. All information collected at the time of enrolment will be kept private and confidential.
    5. Student enrolment Information will also be destroyed after the student has withdrawn from the programme or has graduated from the highest level programme.
    6. With regards to personal data, LoveKids will adhere to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) as laid out on https://www.lovekids.com.sg/en/privacy-policy.
  3. Payment Terms
    1. All fees must be paid before the commencement of the programme.
    2. If fees are not paid by the commencement date, LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to refuse admission to class.
    3. All fees paid are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
    4. A one-time registration fee is payable for each subject a student enrols in at LoveKids and LK Academy. Students who withdraw from the programme and rejoin will be subjected to a new registration fee.
    5. A deposit fee is also collected during registration. The purpose of this deposit is for advance notification of intention to withdraw from the programme. The terms and conditions for refunds of deposits are laid out in the withdrawal from programme policy below.
    6. Registration and Deposit fee must be paid in full on enrolment.
    7. Term fees will be prorated if a student enrols after the scheduled start date of the programme. If there are only 4 lessons remaining for the programme, the fee for the following term will also be payable upon enrolment.
    8. A $20.00 administrative fee will be enforced if payment is made after the start of the new term.
    9. If payment is not received by the due date, LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to refuse attendance until payment has been made. LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to release the enrolment to the next student on the waiting list.
  4. Schedules of Classes for Preschool and Primary Level

    1. Schedules for classes will be available by the middle of the 4th quarter of each year. The schedule will be released on the LoveKids website before the start of the new year.
    2. The duration of each term is as follows:
      1. Term 1 – 10 weeks
      2. Term 2 – 12 weeks
      3. Term 3 – 10 weeks
      4. Term 4 – 12 weeks
    3. Term break will be weeks 3 and 4 of June and December each year.
  5. Schedule of Classes for Secondary Level
    1. Secondary level classes by LK Academy operate on a monthly basis. Fees are billed on a monthly basis and payable in advance. The number of lessons each month will be at least four lessons and can be increased when there are five lesson dates in a month or extra classes when exams are approaching.
    2. Fees for mid-month enrolment will be prorated accordingly based on the remaining number of lessons for the month. If there are 2 lessons left, fees will also be collected for the following month.
    3. Lessons for the Secondary level will be conducted from January and ends in November. No lessons will be conducted for the month of December.
  6. Term Break Holidays
    1. Term Break for Preschool and Primary Level classes is in weeks 3 and 4 of June and weeks 3 and 4 of December. Please refer to the scheduled term dates for the Calendar year.
    2. However, to confirm a student’s place in the following term, term fees will be made two(2) weeks or latest before the end of the current attending term.
  7. Fee Structure
    1. The billing cycle for fees for the Preschool and Primary levels will be on a termly basis. Fees will be according to the number of lessons in the term. Ie. Term 1 – 10 lessons, Term 2 – 12 lessons, Term 3 – 10 lessons and Term 4 – 12 lessons.
    2. The billing cycle for Secondary classes will be on a monthly basis. Fees are billed according to the number of lessons scheduled in a month.
    3. All fees are subjected to review and revision.
    4. Fee reviews and revisions will be posted on the schedule page on www.lovekids.com.sg and www.lkacademy.sg with a notice period of at least one (1) month in advance.
    5. Fee payments are to be made in advance before commencing any programme.
    6. Fee payments for preschool and primary will be billed on a termly basis.
    7. Fee payments for playgroup and secondary will be billed on a monthly basis.
    8. Payment in full must be received before students are allowed to commence a class.
    9. Payment for a full term remains applicable even if your child misses any class.
    10. Payment for a full term remains applicable unless withdrawal notice is given.
    11. A pro-rated fee will be only applicable for new enrolment students joining a programme after the start date of the term/month.
    12. For prorated fee enrolments that have less than three sessions left, students will also be required to make payment for the following term/month during enrolment.
    13. The centre reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a class at any point during the term due to unforeseen circumstances.
    14. Classes that are rescheduled by the centre will be replaced with another class at a later date.
    15. If a class falls on a stipulated public holiday, lessons will resume the following week. Make-up classes for Public Holidays may be outside of the usual term dates.
  8. Registration Fee and Student Deposit
    1. A one-time registration fee ($50.00) and
    2. A Student Deposit ($80.00) and the material fee will be payable. The registration fee and material fee will not be prorated regardless of the enrolment date.
    3. Student Deposits are refundable under terms and conditions as laid out in section 10.
    4. Upon enrolment, parents are advised to give a short profile of their child for teachers to have a better understanding of the student.
    5. Primary to Secondary level students are encouraged to bring a copy of their last graded examination papers for our teacher(s) to review.
  9. Payment Modes
    1. Payment of fees can be done by PayNow Corporate, PayLah and Internet bank transfers.
    2. For all payments, please include your child’s name / Student ID number and inform us via WhatsApp / SMS / Email. A receipt will be issued upon verification of payment.
    3. We do not accept Cheques, NETS or credit card payments.
    4. All payments received will be issued with an official receipt.
  10. Student Deposit
    1. A refundable deposit of $80.00 will be collected upon registration of any programme.
    2. The deposit will be refunded within 10 working days after the last lesson of the term upon fulfilment of the following requirement(s):
      1. Students must complete the current term.
      2. Notice of withdrawal must be sent by email to the administrator thirty (30) days in advance before the end date of the current attending term.
      3. Email notification to be sent to info@lovekids.com.sg.
      4. If any of the above requirements are not met, LK reserves the right to forfeit the deposit.
  11. Replacement Lessons
    1. For students who are unwell or have a valid medical reason, a make-up class will be arranged.
    2. The make-up class can only be arranged within the same week for the same lesson topic unless otherwise stipulated.
    3. If your child is unable to attend the make-up class, the teacher will give instructions to the student on the lessons and how to complete the worksheet. The worksheet must be completed and handed back to the teacher for assessment.
    4. No rebates/refunds/credits will be given for missed lessons.
    5. Replacement classes are subjected to the availability of classes.
    6. Payment for a full term remains applicable even if your child misses any class.
    7. Payment for a full term remains applicable unless withdrawal notice is given.
    8. The centre reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a class at any point during the term due to unforeseen circumstances.
    9. Classes that are rescheduled by the centre will be replaced with another class at a later date.
    10. If a class falls on a stipulated public holiday, lessons will resume the following week.
    11. All lessons scheduled in the term will be completed.
  12. Trial Lessons
    1. Students may register for a maximum of two (2) trial lessons (lesson fees payable) for each class.
    2. Fees for each trial class will be based on a prorated fee.
  13. Withdrawal from Programme and Termination of Service
    1. If a student wishes to withdraw from the programme, a notice in writing must be sent to the Administrator by email at info@lovekids.com.sg.
    2. The notice must be given at least thirty (30) days before the end of the last lesson of the term.
    3. A minimum of thirty (30) days of lead time must be given before the date of the last lesson of the current attending term. This is to facilitate a refund of the student deposit.
    4. LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to forfeit the deposit if the notice period is less than thirty (30) days to the date of the last lesson of the term.
    5. A notice of withdrawal email is to be sent to info@lovekids.com.sg. This email is to have the heading “Withdrawal from LK Programme” stating the child’s name, class and last term.
    6. If a withdrawal is sent within the term, student(s) will still be required to complete the term. Refunds or credits will not be given for unused portions of fees.
  14. Online Classroom Conduct
    1. Any programme that is conducted by LoveKids and LK Academy may be moved to an online version of the same class. Moving a physical class to an online classroom will be according to directives set out by the Ministry of Education for Private Enrichment Institutions or Government of Singapore.
    2. LoveKids and LK Academy will as far as possible conduct physical classes but will be obliged to follow all instructions directed by the Ministry of Education or Government of Singapore.
    3. LoveKids and LK Academy is not accountable to send parents recordings or pictures taken within/during class unless it is for feedback purposes.
    4. Classroom rules will be conveyed to students in the first lesson.
    5. All classroom rules must be abided by students.
    6. LoveKids and LK Academy teachers reserve the right to place students in individual online waiting rooms if rules are violated.
  15. Lessons During School Holidays
    1. Termly classes will stop during the LoveKids and LK Academy school holiday term break unless a replacement class is rescheduled as a replacement for a public holiday.
    2. Optional programmes such as Holiday Workshops, Bootcamps or other Enrichment programmes will be conducted during the school holidays.
    3. Separate fees are chargeable for Optional programmes during the school holidays.
    4. Unless otherwise stipulated, the centre will be closed for all Singapore gazetted public holidays and Teacher’s Day.
  16. Holiday Workshops / Short Courses Fees
    1. Holiday workshop fees will be prorated or refunded on the following terms and conditions:
      1. Hospitalization Medical Certificate or Medical Certification from a doctor that a child is not able to attend classes due to COVID.
      2. Students who fall into the category will be allowed to transfer the workshop fee as a credit to the next Holiday Workshop / Short Course conducted by the centre.
  17. General Terms
    1. LoveKids and LK Academy will be responsible for the supervision of the student(s) while classes are in session.
    2. We will provide a 10-minute grace period after each lesson to cater for parents who are late in fetching their children.
    3. We will not assume responsibility for the supervision of student(s) outside of the stipulated time period.
    4. LoveKids and LK Academy will not be held accountable if the student chooses to leave the centre’s premises without permission from any teacher and/or for any other reason outside of the 10-minute grace period.
    5. Teacher(s) will be available for feedback 5 to 10 minutes after each lesson.
    6. All costs incurred as a result of any damage, injury, loss, expense or liability that may be caused to public and/or private property by the student will be borne by his/her parents/guardians.
    7. LoveKids and LK Academy own the copyrights to all intellectual property. Any unauthorised use of or infringement of copyrights will be dealt with severely and action will be taken.
    8. LoveKids and LK Academy own the copyrights to our students’ work and compositions completed throughout the duration of the programme.
    9. LoveKids and LK Academy have the right to reproduce or publish our students’ work for advertising and/or other purposes.
    10. LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to replace or change teacher(s) without prior notice.
    11. LoveKids and LK Academy reserve the right to amend the above terms and conditions without prior notice.
    12. LoveKids and LK Academy may use any photos or videos of students taken within the centre’s premises during classes or programmes for marketing and promotions with the permission of the parents of students involved.
